2006 Season

Automatic Racing’s 4 BMWs for the Grand AM Cup GS class: we prepare the cars for a rainy spring race at VIR.

A Motec ADL was used to keep close tabs on the engine and suspension in Jesel’s record breaking, 224 mph, production bodied pickup truck. This picture is during Speed Week on the Bonneville salt flats.

Joel Feinberg quickly became more competitive with his Radical in IMSA LITES after we installed a Motec ADL to monitor the car and driver.

For SigalSport we were able to quickly jump in and monitor/tune their engine management package on a weekend when manpower was tight: Mid-Ohio. (picture is Laguna Seca)

Of course getting these cars right takes some up-front analysis. For example what is the appropriate alternator and pulley size?

And a bit of development as well. This car had unpredictable rich and lean spots until we put the just right size filter in the Manifold Pressure sensor’s signal wire to get rid of the induction pulses. Note the difference in smoothness of the injector pulse width line from the first (before) to the second (after) picture. And, by looking at the response to a rapid throttle input, you can tell it is not overfiltered.
